О мелком и крупном вранье в истории

Искал кое-что по своим надобностям и наткнулся на сайт nabataea.net. Очень, кстати, толковый сайт. Но вот, в том месте, которое обсуждает появление и употребление этнонима "араб" приводится такой пассаж:

Genesis 10:25-30

י,כה וּלְעֵבֶר יֻלַּד, שְׁנֵי בָנִים: שֵׁם הָאֶחָד פֶּלֶג, כִּי בְיָמָיו נִפְלְגָה הָאָרֶץ, וְשֵׁם אָחִיו, יָקְטָן.
25 У Евера родились два сына; имя одному: Фалек, потому что во дни его земля разделена; имя брата его: Иоктан.
25 Two sons were born to Eber; the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.

5 От этих населились острова народов в землях их, каждый по языку своему, по племенам своим, в народах своих.
5 From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.

6 Сыны Хама: Хуш, Мицраим, Фут и Ханаан.
6 The sons of Ham were Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.

14 and Mishma and Dumah and Massa,

16 Эти есть сыны Измаиловы, и эти имена их, в селениях их, в кочевьях их. Это двенадцать князей племен их.
16 These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages, and by their camps; twelve princes according to their tribes.

כה,יז וְאֵלֶּה, שְׁנֵי חַיֵּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל--מְאַת שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה, וְשֶׁבַע שָׁנִים; וַיִּגְוַע וַיָּמָת, וַיֵּאָסֶף אֶל-עַמָּיו.
17 Лет же жизни Измаиловой было сто тридцать семь лет; и скончался он, и умер, и приложился к народу своему.
17 These are the years of the life of Ishmael, one hundred and thirty-seven years; and he breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people.

כה,יח וַיִּשְׁכְּנוּ מֵחֲוִילָה עַד-שׁוּר, אֲשֶׁר עַל-פְּנֵי מִצְרַיִם, בֹּאֲכָה, אַשּׁוּרָה; עַל-פְּנֵי כָל-אֶחָיו, נָפָל.
18 Они жили от Хавилы до Сура, что перед Египтом, как идешь к Ассирии. Они поселились перед лицом всех братьев своих.
18 They settled from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt as one goes toward Assyria; he settled in defiance of all his relatives.

י,ז וּבְנֵי כוּשׁ--סְבָא וַחֲוִילָה, וְסַבְתָּה וְרַעְמָה וְסַבְתְּכָא; וּבְנֵי רַעְמָה, שְׁבָא וּדְדָן.
7 Сыны Хуша: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыны Раамы: Шева и Дедан.
7 The sons of Cush were Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

Ну, и где здесь появляются арабы? Здесь появляются племена, которые арабы сегодня причисляют к арабским. То есть, сначала делается длинное теоретическое (и не всегда бесспорное) построение, а потом к нему притаскивается цитата из Библии, которая якобы его подтверждает. Беглый взгляд показывает, что ничего она не подтверждает, но кому интересны такие мелочи?
